Pour all internal ingredients except the milk in a bowl and lightly mix. Chill in refrigerator or freezer until super cold, but not frozen. (Putting ingredients in the refrigerator for an hour or freezer for 20 minutes will be sufficient.) Insert canister into ice cream bucket with the lid on. Pour in a light layer of ice in the bottom of the bucket to hold canister in place.  Remove canister lid and pour mixture into canister. Then pour in whole milk to the fill line in the canister or two-two and a half inches from the top of the canister. Insert dasher and put lid on the canister. Layer ice and salt around canister in the ice cream bucket. Go heavy with the salt. Secure the motor to the top of the canister and bucket. Plug in the electric motor and get it spinning. (Be sure electric chord is out of the way of water that will accumulate from making the ice cream).  Add additional ice to bucket as ice melts during the churning process. Keep it topped off to where the canister is not visible.  Let the ice cream maker run until the motor stops on its on or it’s your desired thickness. Some ice cream recipe mixtures will not get thick enough to stop the motor. Most churn ice cream recipes are soft serve. If you check the progress of the ice cream be sure the top of the canister is clear of ice and salt. You do not want the ice or salt getting inside the canister.  Once the ice cream is done churning you can place it in the freezer if the thickness level is not to your liking. Enjoy once the desired ice cream thickness is reached.
