This apology isn’t genuine—it’s corporate PR, not responsibility. The moment Open Chats Podcast turned off comments, they made it clear: they’re not interested in dialogue, only damage control. This statement comes from the brand, not the individuals who actually made the offensive remarks. There’s no accountability, no names, no real sincerity. Just vague regret and convenient silence. From what we’ve seen in this country, I bet the EFF and Julius Malema would not have condoned this kind of disrespect had this been directed at Black South Africans, there would’ve been nationwide outrage. But when Coloured people are mocked, it’s treated like a minor misstep. We are done being the punchline. We are done being disrespected, then silenced. it should not be a forced apology, but a calling for actual consequences. This podcast should be pulled, and sponsors should withdraw support immediately. Because without money, platforms like this lose the power to amplify hate. If you stand against racism, now’s your chance to prove it.
