The song
The song "Lambada", ", also known as "Chorando Se Foi (Lambada)", was released in 1989 by the French-Brazilian group Kaoma and became one of the biggest worldwide hits of that year. With its blend of Brazilian rhythms and unforgettable choreography, it reached No. 1 in numerous countries and transformed laundry into an international phenomenon. Although Kaoma popularized the topic, the melody comes from the Bolivian song "Clorando se fue", composed and performed originally by the group Los Kjarkas in 1981. After a legal dispute, the author of the Bolivian composers was recognized.
