I don’t understand why people hesitate to give a number. Do a little research and say something that’s 25% more than the upper bound of the range you find.

Recruiters are the one person you should tell…they have access to many jobs in many places. And they are incentivised to get their candidates the highest pay possible…as they get a cut.
