every time the cat walks by, give dog a treat. you want to make it a positive thing that kitty is around. this can apply to humans too. also if you have to take anything away, always trade for a treat

The best thing I did for my resource guarding catahoula was hand feeding her meals I would make her work by training around my cat when shed give me attention n not my cat Id feed her did it for a yr

I’m having the same issue 😭 when we adopted her she did it to everyone but I trained her off of doing it to me and she stopped for awhile but now she’s super bad towards the cats and other dog.

Feeding time becomes structured time. Play an alarm to signify meal time. Feed in a designated place ie crate, kitchen, room etc. Allow access to food for 15-20 minutes.

Take her kibble in your hand and have her eat out of it, have her build that trust with you, you can also reward her as she makes progress so she understands that no reaction to the cat = good
