Here’s another creative idea to capture cinematic iPhone footage on your next road trip: 1. Invest in a 360-degree rotation suction cup car mount for your iPhone. I purchased mine on Amazon for around USD$20, but you can likely find them widely available. 2. While optional, I recommend using the SmallRig iPhone case for added security. It’s easy to attach and feels more secure than using just an iPhone holder, especially when the phone is mounted outside of a moving vehicle. By the way, my suction cup actually came with a phone holder, but I opted not to use it. 3. Get creative with your shooting angles; you can mount your phone almost anywhere as long as it’s a smooth surface like metal or glass. Ensure you thoroughly clean the surface and check that the mount is securely attached. 4. To fully utilise the capabilities of the iPhone 15 Pro Max, shoot in ProRes Log for later colour grading in DaVinci Resolve or FCPX. In the camera app, select 24fps, activate action mode, and enable ProRes Log (you may need to switch it on in the camera settings). 5.
