@tiffintech: In all fairness I worked as a software developer behind a desk for almost 8 years in corporate. But it was that grind that led me to being able to start my own company and also consultant for some of the biggest companies in tech! Dont discount the job you are currently in. Take every opportunity to learn in your job - even for the reasons of simply realizing its through those experiences you can then take with you other places.
