Democrats also reelected Sen. Dick Durbin (IL) as their whip, elevated Sen. Amy Klobuchar (MN) to the No. 3 spot as chair of the Steering and Policy Committee, and promoted Sen. Cory Booker (NJ) to the No. 4 spot as chair of the Strategic Communications Committee. Sens. Elizabeth Warren (MA) and Mark Warner (VA) will serve as caucus vice chairs, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) will be outreach chair, Sen. Tammy Baldwin (WI) will serve as conference secretary, Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto (NV) will be vice chair of outreach, and Sens.
