hyacinths are another example, when I was a kid I was so heartbroken that they were critically endangered, being the biggest parrots we have rn, but now lots of people have them as pets as a way to conserve them to some degree

in portugal, Lisbon center of the city there are exotic birds flying free. our guess is that some escaped cages and then somehow reproduced and survived. so lovely. I don't know the species
