@guidedfitmama: Hiiii babes… a lot of questions on waist trainers recently I dont recommend waist trainers because… 1. The pressure they put on the core system, (especially given its vulnerable state in postpartum) 2. The device, if worn for a while, will normally cause the core muscles to start turning off because the waist trainer starts “doing the work” so thecore muscles think they don’t have to work anymore. This can lead to a weaker core + the symptoms that come along with it 3. Waist trainers will not truly strengthen or heal those muscles. I’m all about funactionality and strengthening the system. The goal is to heal, rebuild, & strengthen. Not just for aesthetics but so we can function without pain in day to day mom life. We have to do the work to get there if we truly want to heal. Progressive ab rehab is your BFF once you no longer need that support (from your light postpartum compression garment 😉 not a waist trainer) to heal and rebuild!
