@kivenro: This video applies if the goal is to progress towards the manna, being a different kind of work from the V-sit. Training the latter does not allow you to progress to the manna (just a little bit). In the end, they are two different skills. 1 - Extending the arms is mandatory. A manna cannot really be performed with bent arms, as this does not allow the triceps to be properly engaged. The contraction of the triceps is fundamental, as it's what allows the pelvis to be lifted into the air. 2 - The pronated grip is enormously more difficult than the supinated grip - it's an elite level. This is because the external rotation of the shoulders is severely limited. You have to go step by step, starting with the easiest. 3 - Not extending the legs at first is what I recommend. The manna work (triceps strength + shoulder mobility in extension) should not be hindered, made more difficult, because of the legs. We're not interested in the compression, which is the same as on a V-sit and even easier.
