Cool concept, but my party already takes long enough with their turns as is.

"Move 1 square for each successful roll"... my man, the whole party gets to play the game not just the rogue

can't wait to draw out a single stealth check into a 20 minute mini game. 🤔

You can of course make the same thing without 3D printing!

I need clear rules on sight lines. And also I would add that The results of a stealth check determines how many squares you can move.

Linwood_LTHR :
So at minimum 6 stealth checks to go through an area? That seems excessive.

Moss :
Nah that’s extremely far too long and takes agency away from anyone not using stealth. Itd be a better visualizer for 1/2 and 1/4 cover along with line of sight and AOE checking

Just use the clock system from forged in the dark, it's better, more consistent, and more versatile

you should make the character tokens taller than the obstacles so you can tie a string or elastic between them, and if it goes over an obstacle then you know you're hidden

one roll for each square? at this point just play a straight board game

Is it possible to make this on an A1 Mini, I have the Bambu Labs one, and this looks like it would be a fun strategy game.

Gonna need a different system than d20 skill checks for this. We did a similar thing one session and while the rest of the party got through fine, it became a 2 hour slog for me, the paladin.

You forgot that in stealth your speed is halved. So stealth players’ group should move one step in a round while the enemy npc should move 2 steps

cool idea but too slow. maybe have set DC for 1 move, if 5 or more above move 2? every 5 above I'd another move?

Enemy pieces should have a direction of view on them. This could change what is needed for a successful stealth check.
