Just know that pretty much ALL Korean men can go to war if it comes to that point. Two year mandatory military service prepare them for war.

we have the same law , where every guys goes to military for a year and half or two , i'm not pretty sure , and yeah that is the exact reason , to be prepared to whatever, but it's just the basics

In Colombia they do 18 months of mandatory service however, you can also pay to recieve the military card so it’s only mandatory if you can’t afford it
