Also a mom of 4 here. I was recently laid off too and the time I spend networking and preparing for interviews is a lot! Still very busy. And the added stress of needing to find a job weighs on me too

I’m a mom of 1 pregnant with our 2nd. There’s always something to do - cook, clean, laundry, dishes, grocery shop, take the toddler to do something fun so she can at least get out of the house.

I have a toddler + am unemployed after mat leave and I have NO IDEA how you do it. The amount of laundry, meals, just being there for them - for 4 kids?I can’t even fathom how that works with a job?!?

Same situation earlier this year. I made sure not to take on more work around the house while laid off bc I knew I’d never offload it again. Also, take time for you! It’s a lot 💛

Ok but having 3 jobs before, that’s wild! You’re amazing. I always tell myself that I’m actually working 2 jobs, one at day job and one before and after with my family.

My husband is a SAHhusband since I am in school internationally and people ALWAYS ask him what he does all day. Because they assume that because he's a man he doesn't/can't take care of our home 1/2

It’s an unbelievable amount of work. I WFH (2 kids in school during the day) and there is no way I could keep up on minimal home tasks if I were in an office 😭

Yes! I’ve been furloughed since August and I still work just as much now as I did then. The difference is that I’m more present and a lot less stressed.

As a mother who stayed home with 4 children I often told people I felt like a CEO who had no employees working for her. I felt overwhelmed being responsible for everyone and everything!
