“Wrecked” is an understatement. Wow. My God, the Lord is so kind and faithful. I’ve genuinely been struggling to pray over the past few weeks. I’d still pray here and there, but I was lacking intimacy with the Father. Last night, on 12/11/24, I was doing a client’s hair when a sermon from Pastor Philip popped up—one from about a year ago titled “The Secret of Prayer and Fasting.” I didn’t expect it to impact me as deeply as it did. This morning, on 13/11/2024, I encountered God in a way I never have before. Our holy God wrecked me. His presence was so overwhelming, I couldn’t hold it in. What was different this time? I took time to think about WHO God is. I came to a consciousness of His glory. He is seated on the throne, holding the world in His hands. He sent His Son to die for me before I was even a thought. He knew the mistakes I’d make, and still, He sent His Son to die for me. Jesus died and rose again to justify me. “He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins” (Colossians 1:13-14). I reflected on Matthew 6:9: “Our Father in Heaven, hallowed be Your name.” For the first time, I called Him “Papa.” I saw the Lord in a new way, and it changed how I spoke to Him. It shifted my desires during prayer—a desire to see His kingdom come, a desire for His will to be done like never before. A longing for God to wreck us all until every knee bows and every tongue confesses that He is Lord (Philippians 2:10-11). This isn’t to boast but to encourage you all to seek deeper intimacy with our Father in heaven. Matthew 6:9-13. #fyp #foryoupage #christiantiktok #sermon #pastorphillipanthonymitchell #jesusisenough #2819church
