@quicksnowteach: Snowboard shapes part 1. There are 4 main snowboard shapes. I am going to tell you their purpose. Twin tip Twin tip is a fully symmetrical board with equal nose and tail width, length and centered stance. ✅ Easier to do tricks ✅ Easy to ride switch ⚠️ Hard to ride off piste Good choice for beginners and freestyle lovers. Directional twin Directional twin board have similar tip and tail shape and width. Stance is slightly shifted to the tail of the board. The length of the nose is bigger than the tail length. ✅ Due to longer nose the board handles speed better. ✅ Good compromise between regular and switch riding. ⚠️ Freeride is still challenging. Good choice if you like advanced freestyle and ride groomed slopes.
