Yep. My Dad was Russian & always went out of his way to do things for my Mum. She gave him 5 children, he worshipped her for that gift of life. He was sensitive, resilient & strong. He was a man everyone admired. We were the luckiest kids in the world 🥰

For real though. Don’t expect a traditional woman if you’re not going to be a traditional man. Going 50/50 with finances also means going 50/50 with childcare, house responsibilities, and everything else.

I'm really surprised by these comments. Did y'all miss the part where almost every Russian man said that he was fine providing for his wife because she's gonna be home raising the kids? That's just another way of dividing labor 50/50. I don't want kids, but if I did, I'd MUCH rather we both work and evenly split bills, housekeeping, and childcare, than stay home, do all the housekeeping and all the childcare, and have no income or financial independence. I'm not going back to the 1950s, thanks.
