Try these block drills to help open the shoulders and the spine for Kapotasana. Everyone seemed to like the strap drills I posted last week, what do you think about these block drills?  Use the block to support the upper back and work progressively. First stack two blocks and place them behind the shoulder blades. Hold a strap to keep the shoulders active in the external rotation pattern. Sink the hips and reach the arms overhead. If this worked well, turn the top block to a higher position and repeat. Increase the demand on the shoulders by dropping the strap, bending the elbows and holding onto the block. Place the block under the sacrum and extend the legs. Wait for the hips to open. Then, fold the legs around the block and settle the knees on the ground. Reach the hands over the head, press the hips forward and gently walk toward the feet. Use the block between the feet to prevent the feet from sliding together as you deepen the grip.  Keep practicing 🙏 My upcoming Yoga Drills training on @omstarsofficial  starts today !
