I dont really see how luffy and ace being biological brothers means automatically that sabo was fully a retcon. I do think it's probably the case, but I wouldn't say it is definitive proof

this definitely sounds correct since Oda has always been clear that One Piece was originally a much shorter idea that kept growing which is why he retconned some things and just ignored others😂
