rotary lift tech here. to get cylinder out raise all the way then set on locks. compress cylinder to remove. then have rebuilt. seals are cheap

Maybe the seal got rolled. Happens all the time with Aircraft struts. We just put Vaseline on the strut with it all the way up, then lower the strut. It usually rolls right back in. Good luck!

Hear me out….. my rollback was leaking on 3 of the cylinders and bc I’m lazy I just kelp adding fluid. Oil trans fluid rearend dope etc. one day it needed a little fluid bc the bed wouldn’t go all

If you just rotate the cylinder it will sometimes seal it up again. Cold weather will make em leak too, mine did. Not a heated shop though in MN

Also make sure the equalizer cables are adjusted correctly put it up in the second lock lower down make sure the cables are equal tension after you get done rebuilding the cylinder

the lift I use at work for cleaning undercarriages does the exact same but there is no leak on it

after the seal is fixed, going forward.... raising the lift all the way to the top will even out the two sides

Potential hack: get a seal saver for a dirtbike. Or make one. Maybe. Just maybe the seal and got enough gunk in it to leak. If it’s facing it seems possible to accumulate debris’sss’

really it's the outer seal .but you have to tear it all down when you get it apart use the hoist to hold the ram and undo the nut did 3 on backhoe in under a hr

I've had to remove one myself it's not to hard,took it to a rebuilder, just a heads up cylinder is heavy have a friend help you
