How do you get a 15 month old to stop throwing food on the floor? Here’s how I would approach this … So when they throw food on the floor, you pick it up and throw it in the garbage, and you say, okay, no more, and then you hand feed them. Most likely they're not going to be happy about that, they're going to say no, and that’s when you say okay all done, then wipe them up and put them down. Just be prepared, they may have a fit over this. That is how they learn. Then maybe a half hour later, try again; give them a little bit of food, so when they throw it, it's not a big mess. I would just keep repeating this process, and from my experience, when they are hungry they will eat. Looking for extra guidance on parenting toddlers?
