not sure if it's dialect, but in my home country there's a saying that goes along the lines of "they made me a 💀 dog" which can be translated to "they treated me like roadkill" or "they made me roadk

Uffda. A Scandinavian Minnesotan thing. It’s a a word for expressing that a situation is a lot to have to handle, and can either be used to express personal over exertion or to commiserate/sympathize

Faffing and minging are ones used a lot where I grew up too! (South Wales). Cwtch has always been one of my faves - like a hug but emotionally warmer for want of a better description.
