@dailymail: BREAKING: Hannah Kobayashi's family have confirmed they are exploring the possibility she may have been caught up in a green card marriage scam before her disappearance. Kobayashi was apparently scammed out of the proceeds of an immigration scheme, according to LA Mag, and possibly concocted by her former partner, who left Hawaii with Kobayashi and landed at LAX with plans to catch a connecting flight to New York. It's reported Kobayashi’s new husband, Alan Cacace, whose own girlfriend, Marianna, was also on the flight with Kobayashi’s ex. The scam was said to be uncovered by Hannah's mother who found documents listing an attorney for her daughter's marriage. In a statement from the family lawyer, she said that the family did not have 'the facts or necessary documents' to verify what they called the 'alleged marriage'.
