Join us on Saturday 4 January for our mochi pounding event - Mochitsuki (餅つき) at Ichiba Westfield London, where we make fresh mochi rice cakes to welcome in the new year! You can even try pounding the mochi yourself. Plus, we will also do Kagami Biraki (鏡開き, literally “mirror opening”), which is the ceremonial opening of a sake barrel. The event starts at 12pm, but make sure to arrive earlier to have the best view! Enjoy freshly made mochi and delicious authentic sake with us after the event, to open the year of 2025 with good fortune and luck.
