When I found my bio father, he hadn’t known about me, so it was a shock for him. I found him through ancestry. We met up with him a few times for lunch, with his wife. His wife didn’t want him to really have anything to do with me and she gave him a really hard time about it. They have a child, my younger half brother, who is in his 40s. They don’t want him to meet me or know about me either. Eventually I stopped trying. My bio dad just didn’t seem to be interested in a relationship.
