Yes, finding a longterm place in Sweden can be tricky. Just one thing, ”evicted” is not really the same as having your contract not extended.

As a renter I’m pretty sure you always have 3 month notice to vacate (uppsägningstid).

You can queue without the personal number, just pay the fee. So you can be in the queue even if you just planning to move to Sweden

You can try beresident, sometimes they have 2nd hand apartment options which you can rent for a long period.

Eviction is not the right word, that implies that you didn’t pay rent and was court ordered to leave the apartment . I hope you are not saying that, when you apply for new apartments.

I've been so lucky with my current 2nd hand contract. my landlord left to study abroad so I had a 4 year contract overall. It's ending next August not looking forward to playing the search game again.

Which city are you in? I used Boplats Syd to queue, and I got a first hand contract after only 3 months of being in the queue. I am in Malmö but there should be an equivalent in other cities

I’m currently on a short-term contract. I am guaranteed 12 months but after that they can evict me without any reason. It’s a nice place, but stressful at the same time 🤨

I feel you, my first years in Sweden were so stressful due to unsustainable living spaces, once got told to get out right after New Year’s Eve 😕. But it does get better with time.

I don't know what to say here 😅. I mean it is obvious it is gonna be hard in Swedish big cities. 🤷♀️Work 2 jobs save everything that you can and then consider buying something. 💁♀️
