Stories like this remind me of the great Ag Equipment takeover of the 90's when JD came up to the Dakotas and Minnestota and bought up every small equipment mfg. they could to eliminate competition.

Didn’t GM have something to do with all this too? I heard a story about some tractor manufacturer wanted to use GM engines and they backed out or was it that GM tried to get into the tractor market?
