Defense of society at large. Reasonable to believe he is original shooter. With unknown circumstances it is reasonable to believe he will shoot again indiscriminately. With no other reasonable means to detain the subject the use of deadly force is objectively reasonable. Just based on what you presented i would have to say it’s a legal shoot.

I can’t run up on him he can turn and fire anytime - I can’t let him continue into the community to hurt / 💀someone else or cause a hostage situation- the officers and public are in immediate danger

Yes. Not just PC at that point it’s ’crime committed in ofc’s presence’. Add obstruction for the running away. There have already been shots fired, he is a danger to the public if not stopped.

Nah. One on less lethal and one on lethal cover. Utilize less lethal options until you gain compliance or subject escalated to use lethal force. Unless more details are known to say he is a threat

Absolutely. Non compliance with gun. Shots already fired according to shot spotter. We aren’t gonna wait for him to shoot and kill someone. Why else would he run WITH the gun. Good shoot. Reasonable.
