Yeah, honestly, I had a huge realization for this like several months ago which is really bad because I’m 20. Like I literally found clothes that are “in my style“ at a JCPenney randomly.

I see a lot of these where every single piece of clothing shown in the outfit spreads is some insanely cool, unique, designer, etc piece. and ppl are like "omg I can never find clothes like that!"

No you don’t get it, it has to be those EXACT shirts, those EXACT jeans, EXACT shoes, every SINGLE accessory oh and brand new but also look worn and cool and in a bundle and under $15 bc they’re so very poor and cannot save more than $50 and clothes are overpriced and shouldn’t be over $5, and the same body, skin color, hair, hair color, hair style, face oh and someone has to send them the links to everything in the next 5 sec or they’re gatekeeping :)

even in alternative spaces it’s pretty easy to find clothes or at least add extra details to common items to give it that kind of look (only thing I think is difficult is jirai blouses)

Me with whimsigoth or grunge. I’ve found most of my grunge stuff at the thrift. Like take the time to observe what they’re wearing in the 90s. It’s easy to find at the thrift or online secondhand. 😭
