Every summer, as back-to-school time approaches, we all want to have everything ready for the new year.  “This is going to be the year” you say to yourself.   ✅You want nothing more than to create a classroom where students feel welcomed, loved, and want to come to school, ✅You want systems in place that help your classroom run itself.   ✅You want to finally get around to those projects you didn’t get to this year. Pero…. Instead… ⚠️You catch yourself scrolling and bookmarking things that don’t align to your goals. ⚠️August rolls in and you start feeling overwhelmed as your “to do” list grows. ⚠️ and suddenly the commitment you had to yourself only a few weeks prior is slowly fading away, while other non-instructional items take priority. The reason why you slowly forget your summer goals and dreams isn’t because you are a slacker or not cut out to be a dual-language teacher….. you are missing some back to school systems and activities that you can can repeat every year, which will free up your time. While I can’t help you with all the problems new dual-teachers face at the beginning of the year, I can help you with back to school materials.
