It was! First saw Deacon Blue in 1985 at Level 8 in the old John St Union at Strathclyde. They were excellent. I seem to remember that wee Claire Grogan was in the audience that night too!

The whole decade was brilliant. So many great bands at that time. Big Country, Loyd Cole and The Commotions, Orange Juice, Simple Minds, Fairground Attraction, Aztec Camera. I wish I could go back.
