“I didn’t know I had so much to heal” changed to “I’m so grateful I pulled the string to start unraveling and finally heal at the root”…. Being in the fitness industry for so long, it was the language I spoke, the tool I used. But what I didn’t realize is how often i would use my “skill” of building the exterior how I wanted without truly healing the interior…the root. Then one day you wake up and realize you constructed yourself all around that, the bandaids and face value…. And true healing and transformation would be the scariest thing of all… it would require surrendering and trusting that deconstructing it all would be for your greatest good and healing. That means letting go of what you so tightly grasp onto… letting my “fitness” identity go realizing I was gripping onto the validation it brought because it was so easy to identify with. This healing journey has been long and tough but so rewarding. It has involved times of not working out at all… letting go of aesthetic fixations… validations…of working through really deep and engrained narratives and patterns….but I have met pieces of myself I didn’t know were there. The ultimate transformation journey is a healing journey. I am excited to share more about my journey soon. Hope it can help someone.
