@pov_husband: One of my favorite Japanese foods besides sushi of course is Oyakodon which is chicken thigh and egg. What I made here is the Katsudon which is pork katsu and egg. Here's how I did it. - In a pan boil 4 tbsp of water, 2 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp mirin, 1 tbsp hondashi powder, 1/2 tbsp sugar. - Add onions and meat of choice (chicken, katsu, beef) - Once meat is fully cooked add 1 beaten egg. Only cook for a few seconds until egg is halfway cooked and pour over rice.
