@stephie5874: I did so much research in to blighted ovums and miscarriages after my first one in Feb 2024. When i got pregnant again in June 2024, I really didnt think it would happen to me again. I remember going in for my early scan at 6 weeks and the sonographer said my sac was empty and was measuring at 4.5 weeks. NHS policy is that you have to wait 2 weeks from the first scan to monitor growth before confirming blighted ovum. I tried to stay positive. The wait was so awful. Maybe that was the worst bit for me. I actually booked myself for an scan a week after my first scan to maybe give me peace of mind, it didnt. I knew what to expect and I guess i went into mechanical processing mode. What was challenging was that many NHS hospitals won’t recognise recurrent miscarriage unless you’ve had three in a row
