@gamingbible: RNIB are striving to make gaming accessible for everyone with their new upcoming game Spectrum Shift 🙌 Thank you to @RNIB and their Design for Every Gamer team for setting up this session. [Video opens on a split screen with Chris, the GAMINGbible presenter, at the bottom wearing a black RNIB t-shirt, and gameplay of Spectrum Shift at the top. Chris is sat on a purple sofa with gaming posters on the wall behind him. The Spectrum Shift logo appears at the top of the screen as the game is introduced, with a smiley emoji sticker popping up. Screen is now full-screen gameplay, showing scenes of a dystopian city’s ruins. The camera follows the player character, who wears a yellow hazmat suit & a large backpack. Screen returns to split-screen, with Chris now joined by Reece Finnegan, also wearing a black RNIB t-shirt. Gameplay continues in the top half of the screen, showing more scenes of the city, including burnt abandoned taxis, large billboards and crumbling buildings. As Reece describes his experience as a blind gamer, the top half of the screen shows close ups of players using illuminated gaming consoles. The Spectrum Shift game continues to be shown in full screen before the clip ends with a split screen. The game plays above while Chris and Reece sit at the bottom.]

Difficult to see an incentive for big money-grabbing gaming developers. Tiny percentage of demographic and seemingly a lot of additional work to produce. I’m all for it though.

this is great but PLEASE don’t touch already established titles, you have to build it that way from the ground up.

me being a partially signed gamer who struggles through games. TLOU was a breath of fresh air. We need more accessible games

I'm a solo indie dev and have a huge focus on inclusion in gaming, can any Devs use these systems? or would I have to use a specific engine etc?

This is so interesting, I’d never thought about how games could be moe accessible to blind people and herby twigged that TLOU 2 had made those changes. Very cool
