@dailymail: A woman in Missouri ran over a bank worker after becoming angry when asked to divert her route due to Christmas light installation. She later claimed it was an accident. On Monday morning, 41-year-old Jemma Allen attempted to drive into a drive-thru area when workers informed her the area was closed. Allen became enraged, swore at one of them, and argued. As one worker bent over to pick up a tote, Allen accelerated and struck him. According to the St. Clair Police Department, the worker fell onto the hood of Allen's Kia and clung to it as she sped through the parking lot. He was then thrown off and onto the ground when Allen continued to accelerate. Allen fled the scene but was later arrested and charged with second-degree assault and resisting felony arrest. In her interview with police, she claimed she ‘accidentally placed her vehicle in drive,’ but witnesses said she intentionally hit the accelerator without checking on the victim.
