I grew up with starline and James way top unload then switched to bags, since moving off the home farm to another small dairy, I will say the climbing was replaced by forking on the bunk

we have 40 foot harvestore built in 1950 it is still standing today along side our other 2 harvestores. it was the first one in our county.
