I get perioral dermatitis and my derm also recommended to always brush your teeth before you wash your face because the chemicals in toothpaste can cause a perioral flare!

The only thing that helped my perioral dermatitis: washing my face with cetaphil gentle cleanser once a day in AM and using the la roche posay vit B cicaplast balm on my skin at night.

I also have perioral dermatitis 😭 I switched to a more natural toothpaste without fluoride and have started using sulfur soap and azelaic acid and that has helped a ton!
