in short. Tiktok started short and went long and was aiming for horizontal format. and YouTube is favoritizing vertical format right now and they will eventually increase lengths for shorts.

I agree but my videos actually do better on IG. to post videos over 90 seconds, upload them as a post.. they will still show in the reels feed.. hope that helps
