These are horses that were auctioned by contractor Rail Lazy H back in 2022 who all called a couple / budding rescue who offered to do anything and everything to help the Alpines being auctioned at the time home! Some of you that have been on this journey with us for a while a while may remember way back in 2023 when we had to go pick up Alpine Wild Horse, Charger ourselves because he was so wild that he just simply refused to load onto the trailer!! After several hours of our gracious transporters trying we decided to go back ourselves to pick him up. He had a mare bonded to him that loaded right up alongside him, so she came along with him to Nirvana! This group is part of that mare’s family!!! We have ID’d them, and confirmed they are in fact the same horses. That day, while we were there picking up Charger, I let this rescue know that if anything ever arose and they needed placement for the Alpines that called their property home, to please reach out and let me know, that we’d home them here at Nirvana. Well, that contact never happened, and NOW, they are at risk of being shipped to slaughter!!! 😫 We want to offer them a life in sanctuary with our Alpine Wild Horse Herd, but we CAN’T pull this off without your help!!!! This is the emergency of the year, we need everyone to rally and help us get these poor horses safe from shipping and get them home ONCE AND FOR ALL!!!
