In central Ok it’s around the end of the 1st week and 2nd week of November every year. Yes the bucks will chase a few weeks before and after but the does aren’t receptive until that timeframe.

Usually our rut is mid November in Tennessee. It did not occur. It's only just now starting...2nd week of December. Only different thing was...mid Nov it was mid 80 degrees.

They will just bed down wind of the doe then move when they do. Most likely at dark when it's cooler but when she is ready they can move at any time.
