That happened to me in San Diego. I caught him same. MO showed up one take you to the back and the other one goes to look at the hood. They almost got me. They were mad when I confronted him.

If I sell a car I tell them do not show up with more than 2 people as I have a friend with me too I always carry too and if the deal is ok I say wire the money to my account and I verify no Venmo
