My mom owned a daycare. If two kids didn’t get along we seperate them. If one was continuing bad behavior we removed that child. I’m sorry you went thru this 💙

toddler ratios are literally 2 teachers to 9 kids, in MA anyway, & i don’t think that parents realize how much that really is & how much the teachers have to deal with aside from watching the children

I worked in childcare for years and we always called if it was 1. A head injury - which can be a scratch and 2. If blood was present. I totally get not feeling comfortable.

There’s times we can’t see everything. If I’m alone with 7 toddlers (my state ratio) and I’m changing diapers/taking kids potty. Things happen and I don’t see it sometimes. It sucks and we feel bad

I would look for a new daycare. Maybe one with cameras available for you to check whenever you want. Socialization is improtant.

My son came home with a black eye from two different daycares. One at home and one center. He’s also been getting bit at the center. So I definitely understand the not wanting to do another daycare.❤️

We literally had the same issue with an in home daycare. My husband before the third day said “if I pick him up and something else happened I’m done.” That day he got bit hard enough to leave a bruise

Yeah it’s not just that one. It could be the daycare or it could be the odds of having a class with multiple biters, throwers, scratchers etc. from a mom I’d be furious too! New school new kids

I think I’ve had to sign 3 incident reports for my 2 kids.. in total for the last 6 years they’ve collectively been going there. I can’t believe how many scratches your poor baby got :(
