For six challenging months, we embarked on a journey of healing and hope. We began with the simplest of tasks—sit-to-stand exercises and weight-shifting techniques. My patient had suffered a severe stroke, and due to financial constraints, we could only meet once a week. Yet, in those brief sessions, we focused on more than just physical recovery. As a PT its very vital to assess with patient is experiencing depression it is common to stroke survivors so i always make sure to filled our time together with positive feedback, reminding him of his strength and potential, even when progress seemed slow. We designed exercises that mirrored the activities he loved, so he would feel a sense of purpose and excitement to continue, even in my absence. In the first three months, we celebrated the milestone of walking with a cane, though his upper extremity remained still. But we didn’t let that discourage us. As the months passed, something extraordinary began to unfold. By the six-month mark, he was walking without a cane, confidently tackling stairs on his own. Then, we saw the first signs of movement in his hand and arm—a closed fist, a bent elbow.
