Custom farming is the same. A round baler and tractor will probably cost 180k depending on make and model. Yet charge the same per $12 per bale as used machinery for about 70k in machinery purchase

You are absolutely right. Bid jobs. It’s hard to make it just by the hour. Buy 3 loaders. A get job done 20x faster than your nabor with the skid steer.

for that price I buy a old case 90xt or 95 xt good machine an a old hough 100 an still get the job done might be old but better I keep a older piece of equipment going instead of buying newer junk

I have preached this for years. I love my crawler loaders for rental and sales but I have had a very hard time embracing the mini world and ctl world because of my “loader love😂”.

Skid steers are expensive and are good for driveways, but a cat 953, 963, or 973 are your money makers, do the maintenance, keep the tracks greased, a good operator, and your golden.
