What am I invested in? Well, this is about 70% of my portfolio. And most of these funds? Have almost the exact same thing in them. That was sort of on purpose? Let me explain. The only reason I have multiples of the same things… is because I had different accounts to fund at different times, and while I was learning, I wanted to try a few things even if the funds are essentially the same. Here’s what these funds are— and as always— this isn’t investment advice. This is for education, always always always do your own research because what is right for me is not necessarily right for you. VTSAX/VTI: vanguard’s total stock market index fund and ETF. And total stock market index fund means that it has EVERY stock in the US market inside. VT: Total GLOBAL index ETF which means it has every stock in the whole dang world. Not bad, eh? Again- there’s some unnecessary overlap here but I don’t mind having additional exposure to US large cap. VUG: this is a growth ETF that’s focused on large cap companies. Think a lot of large tech companies— which also took a big hit in the last 2 years. FZROX: this is basically Fidelity’s version of VTSAX. I only have it because— read above 😂 again.. MORE overlap. FXAIX/VOO: both are S&P 500 index funds. One is an ETF, one is a mutual fund. I have both because of my different accounts. FSPSX: international index fund from Fidelity. Now you’re probably wondering— do you need all these funds? NO! There is a lot of overlap here. You could easily get all the same exposure I have with just 3 funds.. or even one if you didn’t care about customizing your portfolio. My portfolio is a disorganized puzzle of the same index funds packaged in different ways because I bought a lot of these while I was still learning, and at the end of the day? Even though I have too many funds— I’m still achieving my goal allocations in my portfolio between large cap, mid cap, small, international, etc— and that is what actually matters. Ask your questions below! Disclaimer: since we are talking about investing— reminder I am not recommending these funds. All investing has risk. Past performance is not a guarantee of future returns. #investingtok #fintok #wealthbuilders💰
