@khanomqahwa: Allah ﷻ knows everything that you desire in your heart, so why are we encouraged to make DUA for something that He already knows about? Because once you release a dua from your heart into the world, Allah ﷻ grants that dua the power to protect you from harm, change your destiny, and attract certain things for you. Just like we are encouraged to say dhikr out loud and by moving our tongues and lips, repeating a dua makes it more powerful. I have found personally that weiting them down makes my duas SO much more effective alhamdulillah 🥹 Plus, it encourages gratitude because when I’m feeling down or lacking hope about my duas not being accepted I look at my accepted dua folders to recall all of the miracles Allah ﷻ has blessed me with.
