@behappyblackgirl: I am currently in contact with the NYPD Lieutenants assigned to Harlem Hospital as well as the director of Harlem Hospital. I am pursuing legal action. My grandfather currently dorsnt have his teeth as he had impants and they were damaged during the fall. My grandfather fell while on a walk when i was at work. As his emergency cotnact I should have been contacted immediately as was not. My grandfather spent hours in the emergencu room recieving no care and was then sent to the wrong address in a cab. When I arrived at the Hospital they couldnt located my greandfather and the only reason they knew he was in a can was because a clerk just so happened to overhear my screams and recognized the name and alerted us that he just saw a social worker placing him in a cab. The clerk ran us to the social worker’s office; the social worker was halfway out the door about to leave for the day. If this clerk had not overheard nobody would have known where he was or where he was going. Nobody could explain to me why I was not contacted for hours or why the notes that clearly stated my grandfather is not to be sent home alone were ignored.
