first, your hair has to be dripping wet! curl creams can be heavy for wavy hair. stay away from silicone. try not to layer too many products. stick with a curl activator and gel/mousse.

When diffusing- first hover over the curls to create a “cast”. Then turn off the blow dryer, place your section of hair in it, turn it on low. Turn it back off, get a new section, repeat. Less frizz!

Hear me out.. Aussie makes a second day curl spray. It’s amazing!! It’s light weight and adds body! I use it when I wash my hair and on the second and third day.

Get your hair DRIPPING wet, leave in conditioner, curl cream, style, diffuse, then use a little bit of hair oil to get rid of crunch. Not heavy at all!

Honestly i would look up a hair chart. I’d say you have wavy hair, like a 2C so doing curly hair routines isn’t going to maximize what your hair could look like.

Hair needs to be much wetter than that, you can comb it with wide tooth comb, put a bunch of product in mid shaft down to ends. I like Surface Curls the most.
