My tips for dealing with loneliness🚌🤍🌟 💫Stimulate your mind - this could be done in so many different ways. When I’m lonely it’s easy to sit and stay in those feelings but getting out of that space and changing your environment can really help. 💫Self care - this can look different to everyone, but doing something special for yourself is always good for grounding yourself. Personally I love little hobbies that I have to concentrate to do so my mind is distracted. I also love walks in nature while listening to podcasts. 💫FaceTime - surely everyone uses this tool but FaceTime is seriously a life saver. Loved ones are always comforting and sometimes a chat and laugh can take your mind off things. 💫Socialising - this is the hardest of them all but probably the most important. Getting out of your comfort zone and interacting with others is incredibly rewarding. Going to places where you’ll meet people who share similarities is key. It’s really scary to make the first move but I promise people are more friendly than you think. 💫Facebook communities - finding local communities is always nice. There are vanlife and travel groups on Facebook that can connect you to likeminded people. 💫Tours and group activities- I was surprised that I met so many beautiful people on tours. Being a solo traveller on a tour you’re basically forced to mingle with other which can create amazing bonds. 💫Accepting loneliness - it’s crucial to understand loneliness is a temporary feeling that comes and goes.
